In recent years, the global diamond industry has pledged policies that will reduce or eliminate human rights abuses and require more environmentally and socially responsible mining practices. Internationally, more needs to be done to make sure these policies are adhered to.

Conflict Free Diamonds: Guaranteed free of irresponsible and unjust practices

1. Our diamonds are guaranteed to be conflict free and child labor free, meeting all moral and ethical international guidelines.
2. All of our stones, whether from Canada or other countries, are certified conflict free, meaning they are free from human rights abuses and are produced with minimal environmental impact. Jahan diamonds comply with all United Nations and World Diamond Council mandates.
3. We require documentation of this on all stones we receive, in any size or shape, regardless of the origin. All of our diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources and are not in conflict with the United Nations, World Diamond Council, CanadaMark and the Government of the North West Territories. These policies provide independent validation to give you the peace of mind in knowing your diamond is conflict free.

Canadian Diamonds

Responsible mining practices assure that diamonds are mined, cut and polished with environmentally responsible and fair labor practices. When Canadian diamonds were first discovered, special priorities were placed on negotiating mutually beneficial agreements with local indigenous populations and respecting the arctic environment.
