Cutting diamonds to the perfect measurements is an art and a risky business at the same time. Being able to see the end product when you have a rough diamond is a very masterful skill to have. One little mistake or the slip of the hand can mean one fourth of the price in the polished diamond. The cut of a diamond at the end of the day accounts for the real beauty of the diamond. When a diamond is cut to perfection, the diamond reflects the light perfectly, brings out the true brilliance of the diamond and even hides its color or imperfections.
Some diamond cutters even market and patent new cuts and give them fancy names like "Hearts on fire" or "the Leo cut" etc.....But every diamond is different and you have to analyze the 4 c's, while making sure the cut has maximized the beauty of the stone.
At Jahan Diamond Imports, we have always just done that. Even before GIA started rating cutting of round diamonds, we have always emphasized and educated our customers about the differences in cutting. In manufacturing our jewelry we made sure to demand from our diamond cutters to always give us the top cutting, so our jewelry quality not only has the highest color and clarity, but also the extra spark that is seen by the trained eye.
You might hear these fancy names for cutting on the radio often now, but we always have been a known address in San Francisco and nationwide for well cut quality diamonds; without having to pay the extra dollar that others spent on advertising or marketing. Please come in and we will make sure to show you the differences of diamond cutting that will make your dollars spent with us go the extra miles.
